How will Instagram for artists & makers work:
It’s a an online course running from March 3rd to March 26th
Over the four weeks there will be one live teaching session on Tuesdays at 10:30am - 12pm GMT each week and one live Q&A session on Thursdays each week at 10:30am GMT.
The dates of the sessions are:
Tuesday 3rd/10th/ 17th & 24th March at 10:30am - 12pm GMT
Thursday 12th/ 19th & 26th March at 10:30am - 11:30am GMT
Please note in Week 1 the Q&A session will be on Friday 6th March at 10:30am
You’ll be set weekly (optional) tasks so that you can put your learnings into practice.

Week One:
Your Instagram foundations
Understanding how to convey your ‘brand’ on Instagram
Streamlining your Instagram Profile
Optimising your Instagram Bio
Understanding how keywords & Instagram SEO work
Crafting content for your Instagram Highlight folders
Week Two:
Creating compelling Instagram content
Focussing on the content that artists and makers need to share on Instagram to reach more of your audience
Understanding the value of Posts/ Carousels and Reels for artists and makers
Deep dive into Reels - you’ll be learning about the Reels content that works for creatives
Learning filming techniques - stop motion, time lapse, B-Roll, cutaways and voiceovers.
A bonus How to use Edits masterclass has been added to the course for March 2026.
Week Three:
Building an Engaged community
Understanding why an engaged community is vital for your creative business on Instagram
Deep dive into Instagram Stories - how you can use Stories to drive up your connection with your followers
Week Four:
Converting followers into customers
Understanding your customers buying journey
Understanding what kind of content converts followers into customers on Instagram
Creating effective calls to action
Understanding Instagram insights
By the end of this 4 week course you will:
Be clear on how to make your work as visible and discoverable as possible on Instagram
Be focussed on the Instagram content that works for you as a an artist or maker to attract your audience and convert followers into customers
Understand how to grow a loyal community of followers who will engage with you and your content and help your business to grow on Instagram

The course is 4 weeks long.
Each week there will be approximately 2.5 hours of content -this is made up of short video modules for you to complete in your own time plus one live learning session on a Tuesday at 10:30am BST and one weekly Q&A session on a Thursday at 10:30am BST.
Please note that the Q&A in week 1 will be on Friday March 6th.
Plus you'll have some optional tasks and challenges to complete.

That is not a problem - each live weekly session and the Q&A session will be recorded and added to your learning portal.
You can then catch up in your own time.

You will have access to all the course materials for 6 months so you can re-visit parts of the course you'd like to focus on again as often as you'd like in that 6 month period.

You'll be with me in two live sessions a week and you'll have the private Instagram for Artists and Makers Community group in Freshlearn where you can ask questions too.
